DAY1- LISBON/ ÉVORA
This morning your rent a car will be dropped off for you at the
hotel. Proceed to Évora, visiting the Arrábida Mountain
, and Vila Nogueira de Azeitao for wine sampling at Jose Maria
Da Fonseca wine cellars. Continue to Évora, the museum
city of Portugal (World Heritage). Visit the Cathedral, temple
of Diana, Sao Francisco Church and the Chapel of the bones. Overnight
in Evora at Hotel da Cartuxa or in Redondo at the Convent of Sao

DAY2- ÉVORA/ MARVAO/ CASTELO DE
VIDE
Time to leave Évora to Castelo De Vide. Check in at your
hotel and depart to Marvão.… leave your car before
entering the castle… the raining tour is done on foot…
walk around the castle… witness an overwhelming view of
the landscape around. Return to you car and drive to Castelo de
Vide. Accommodation at Hotel Garcia d’Orta no breakfast,
or at Pousada Sta Maria in Marvao with breakfast ( for stays up
to 28 Feb 2005).
DAY3- CASTELO DE VIDE/TOMAR/OBIDOS
Depart to Abrantes and Almourol, continue to Tomar, for a visit
to ConventO De Cristo. After the visit continue to Obidos. Overnight
at Albergaria Josefa with breakfast.
DAY4- OBIDOS/ALCOBACA/NAZARE/BATALHA/OBIDOS
Departure Óbidos for a full day visit to; Alcobaca, and
it’s Monastery, here you will see the tombs of Pedro and
Inês, one of the most famous love stories a Portuguese will
ever tell you… continue to Nazaré. Proceed to Batalha
for the sightseeing of the famous Monastery of Santa Maria da
Vitoria. Return to Obidos for Overnight.
DAY5- OBIDOS/BUCACO/BRAGA.
Depart to visit the famous Bucaco Forest and its magnificent Royal
Hunting Palace. After your visit depart to, Braga and on to Bom
Jesus do Monte for your overnight at Hotel Do Parque with breakfast

DAY6- BRAGA/BARCELOS/GUIMARAES/BRAGA
Today you will be exploring the “green” region of
Portugal, called Minho. Guimarães, known as, the cradle
of Portugal. Here was born the first king. Visit the Castle and
the Palace, take a walk through the old city along its narrow
streets,bordered with granite houses, centuries old. Continue
to Barcelos, famous for the legend of the rooster. Return to hotel
do Parque.
DAY7- BRAGA/ PORTO
Leave Bom Jesus, drive South to Porto, Portugal’s second
city. Indeed a city rich in history and tradition. Drop off car
at the hotel. Overnight in Porto at hotel Infante de Sagres, no

DAY8-PORTO
Spend your last day visiting this historic city; Palacio da Bolsa,
Sao Francisco Church, Cathedral, Ribeira, cross to Vila Nova de
Gaia to sample the Porto wine in one of its famous bodegas, return
to hotel Infante de Sgres.
